kelly tarlton's antartic encounter 061010

I was at Kelly’s Tarlton’s today, an aquarium dedicated to New Zealand's marine life and suddenly I have encountered these rather suggestive of the cowfish. The fish has derived this name because it seems to sport two horns. One of the most peculiar endemic species is the long-finned eels, that can reach lengths of up to 2 meters and live for 100 years. The deep oceans around New Zealand are home to large cephalopods, such as the giant squid and the colosal squid. These are mainly eaten by some cetaceans such as killer and sperm whales.
